A Leading Female Facial Plastic Surgeon Wants Your Questions.

by Teri on January 2nd, 2008

I have a very exciting opportunity here. One of the leading female facial plastic surgeon’s in the US today has offered to answer some of our facial plastic surgery questions.

Dr. Halaas told me, “Americans continue to turn to facial plastic surgery to enhance appearance and smooth the lines of time.  Since 2000 there has been a 60 percent increase in men and 30 percent increase in women selecting cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures. “

Dr. Halaas highlighted significant increases in non-surgical procedures:

  • Filler injections, up 115 percent, 262,600 filler injections took place in 2004
  • Laser resurfacing and forehead lifts both increased almost 300 percent
  • Botox injections were up 210 percent
  • Approximately 220,400 chemical peels

With the introduction and availability of so many new quality fillers on the market, Dr. Halaas believes that many more men and women will take advantage of the simple, non-invasive procedures that make a big difference and cost less than you think.  For example, face-revitalizing treatments such as dermal fillers are a great way to show off your skin, look relaxed and pamper yourself - especially for the new year.

Like I said, Dr. Halaas has so generously offered to answer some of our most burning facial plastic surgery questions. What would you like to know?

Please e-mail me your questions teri.cosenzi (at) b5media (dot) com and I will pass along the questions. Please send them to me as soon as possible, as I would like to pass on the questions to her early next week.

    Wow Teri! This sounds amazing.

I would certainly know what Dr. Halaas thinks of long term use of injections. Right now we don’t know what will happen after 20 or 25 years of Restylane or Botox injections. I’d love to know her point of view.

What is the best procedure to “freshen up” one’s look? I hate the look of a lot of the cosmetic surgery I see - but I think I hate the realities of gravity even more.
