Avon.
Some of my first foray’s into makeup were with Avon.
I remember my mother had little bitty sample sized lipsticks and a nice little Avon catalog to drool over. I always loved getting a visit from the Avon lady. I loved smelling the perfumes, and always ran upstairs to the bathroom to try out all of the samples as soon as she left.
I don’t know how much an Avon lady gets around these days, with it available on the internet and all. Shopping with an Avon eRep is simple and easy where you can even save on shipping. But I don’t believe you will get handfuls of samples if she doesn’t come to your door.
I have ordered form Avon.com and have discovered some nice, quite affordable products. And it is worth a mention that some of the Anew products have won prestigious beauty awards.
Do you get a monthly visit from the Avon Lady, or Avon Representative, to be politically correct?

Where I live, I’ve seen probably 3 Avon books in about 7 years. Not that I need to worry about that though - my partner’s mother is an Avon rep. She’s so popular that she’s had to scale back how many territories she has!

Every once in a great while I see an Avon book somewhere. Most ladies around here are doing Mary Kay or minerals of one sort or another. I gues it might be the end of an era where I live.
