Have You Been? The Cosmetics Company Store.

by Teri on July 20th, 2007

There is nothing quite like it. The Cosmetics Company Store, that is.

TheCosmeticsCompanyStore

The Cosmetics Company Store is the Estee Lauder brands outlet store. It carries the likes of Estee lauder, Prescriptives, MAC, Origins, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Flirt!, and more. They sell lots of discontinued limited edition items at around a 30% discount, many of the GWP sets, some great perfume sets as well, and if you are lucky enough, brushes.

I unexpectedly made my way to one of The Cosmetics Company Store, and had myself a ball shopping. In the store I went to, they had almost the complete Tom Ford Azuree, Bronzee collection.

I picked up the The Face Glow for $21.50, two of the Lipsticks for $16.75 each, and a Cheek Glow stick for $21.50 as well.

I was thrilled to pick up two Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks for just $26.75 each. They normally sell for $38, so you see just why I couldn’t pass up the sold out limited edition Brownie and Peony.

I also picked up a MAC Studio Fix, I could not believe that they had my summer shade in stock, and one of their palettes from last year.

While a visit to The Cosmetics Company Store can be hit or miss, especially if you are looking for particular items, a visit for a makeup addict like me, is never wasted. And it is fun to discover new colors and brands without a sales associate hovering all over you.

I have been shopping at this store for years and really enjoy it. Here in Orlando, it’s far from residential and tourist areas, which make the trip easy. I wish they had a website, though!

If it’s a bit of a drive for you, try calling first. As Kelly mentioned, it’s hit or miss if the associate with help you. With crazy gas prices, it it may be worth it.

I shopped at the location in The Legends Mall in Kansas City, Kansas and they have a wonderful selection of cosmetic products and an excellent staff to service you.
The prices are incredible and can’t be beat!

I am excited to visit my local store(Round Rock) after visiting the Dallas location but I agree with Kelly that the store is great and carries great products but the sales people ARE very rude!

Tips for shopping at CCS: 1) Don’t ask when they get shipment, they are no longer allowed (or permitted) to give that out (plus, I noticed it stresses them out when people are acting like vultures, nearly harassing them about the shipment. It CAN take up to a week & a half to get everything out on the floor) 2) Everything they sell are seasonal, discontinued, and back-stock items… they do NOT carry popular items you find in malls. 3) They are not trained to know about the products, what colors look best on you, etc. (if they know any of that, they learned it on their own) 4) Do not “last minute shop”! 5) *IF* they are rude, they’re probably tired of having to deal with the previous 4! :) —-

The CCS store in Vacaville doesn’t carry a good amount of MAC, all the other CCS stores are likely to ask for those products the most - try the store in Napa, there are usually 5 bunkers filled with MAC whereas Vacaville will have 2-3 (and most items are just the same colors, used as “fillers” on the shelves).
