Have You Heard of the Derma Roller?

by Teri on December 4th, 2007

In my constant research of innovative beauty products that keep us looking forever young, I recently came upon this little kit. It is a Leaf & Rusher Derma Roller.

For centuries, Balinese massage has been sought out for its ancient systems of healing.  Deep pressure, long massage strokes, and skin rolling techniques play a vital role in helping to relieve stress and tension and enhance circulation.  These traits promote harmony of the mind, body, and soul.

The DermaRoller™ is hand-made by Balinese artisans.  Leaf & Rusher brings the benefits of this Balinese touch to your complexion with the DermalDelivery™ Technology System.  We have worked with the most advanced scientific data and technology to develop this exclusive technique.

Ok - that sounds great. But what their description doesn’t tell you is that this little tool has itty bitty spikes on it, microchannels they call it, that rub over your face to help moisturizer penetration.

Well, call me a skeptic, because it sounds plain weird to me.

If you have used this, speak up. I would love to know your thoughts and or results.

That definitely sounds interesting! I guess the increased circulation makes somewhat sense to me. - But would it make that much of a difference? I’d also like to hear from some people who’ve used this!

Yeah I’ve been wondering about that thing too! If I recall correctly, it’s pretty expensive. I wouldn’t think it would really do anything, but you never know!

Rolling isn’t something I’ve really bought into, personally, for my own skin care. I did get a fun demo of roller technology at a tradeshow.

We use this at Spa Nordstrom. The “little spikes” help not only creams but serums penetrate deeper into the skin helping them work better so you see results quicker. All the Aestheticians at our Spa love this whole product line. Especially the DNA eye cream!
