Looking Gorgeous on Holiday
Packing is a pain in the neck. Well for women anyway. I am married to a guy who can pack one bag, small enough to be considered “carry on”, and he’s good for the week. I thought that it was just him, but his father is the same way. I don’t know how they do it. And if that isn’t annoying, they never seem to run out of clothes.
For me, I simply pack everything I own and then I’m good for whatever direction the temperature takes. But I have come up with the idea of packing one bag to keep “somebody” happy and then if I don’t have what I need… I get to go shopping. But that is another post. Today, I want to simply talk about what to take on the plane with you. After lots of hits and misses, this works for me.
- One loose fitting dress. I hate to sit for any length of time in something tight.
- A sweater or jacket (just in case) I’m either freezing or I’m too hot. I swear they do it just to annoy me!
- I pretty much live in sandals and if it’s at all possible, I wear sandals on the plane. They are so much easier to slip in and out of.
- A spray bottle of water for misting the face. Planes are notorious for dry air and cool water on your face… feels fabulous.
- A makeup kit so that I can apply some color before we exit the plane. I might stain my lips with a bit of color before boarding so that I at least don’t look like a ghost, but that’s about it. But before I land, I want to be able to cover the fact that I’m exhausted. I thought flying was supposed to be quick and easy??
-Some granola bars. I have had really great meals and then there were some that weren’t worth eating. So, I keep some granola bars just in case. And they don’t take up a lot of space. Did you know that there are some granola bars on the market that have just 6 grams of sugar!
Everything else is pretty much provided, but ask for a blanket the minute you spot a flight attendant. They go fast. So here’s to being the most gorgeous woman on your flight!
