Sexy at 60: Helen Mirren voted world’s Sexiest Older Woman
Remember when 40 was the new 30? And 50 became the new 40? Is 60 the new sexy? Oscar award-winning Dame Helen Mirren, age 61, has been voted the world’s sexiest older woman, according to a Sun newspaper poll.
Notes On A Scandal Judi Dench, The Devil Wears Prada Meryl Streep and movie actress Sophia Loren also made the list.
Granted, sexy is in the mind of the beholder, but without a doubt, Mirren proves that a woman can be sensuous well beyond what past normal societal standards have dictated as sexy in the narrow parameters of youth-based sex appeal.
We may be nubile only once, but we are definitely not destined for the elastic support stockings and orthopedic shoes of our grandmother’s era. Mirren gives us something to look forward to — as it appears as we age — there is no reason we cannot do so with glamour and beauty.

If there is a lesson Helen Mirren has taught it is attitude and how you carry yourself trumps crows feet.
I do not have anything against cosmetic surgery, but from what I understand, she has not had any “work” done (plastic surgery, botox, etc.)making her inspirationally fabulous!

Dalene puts it very well, it’s your attitude that makes you look good, not your ability to hide wrinkles. It’s what inspired one of the t-shirts in our range “facelifting isn’t exercise”!
