The New Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting and Firming Line.
In the spirit of Leap Year and having an extra day, Aveeno took a survey.
They are now releasing these results from their Nationwide “Extra Day” Survey. More than 1,000 American women were surveyed about their views on aging, individual beauty, and what exactly they would do if they had an extra day in the year to do what they please.
The major issue to come out of the survey is that it is apparent that the older a woman gets, the less amount of time she spends on beautifying herself. The survey revealed that after 45, women claim to spend less than half an hour on beauty in increasing numbers. Interestingly, women aged 45 and older are also increasingly likely to say that they feel “less beautiful” with the ticking of the clock.
So, yes, the women wanted the extra day to spend on themselves and beautify!
“These survey results have confirmed how important it is in this day and age for an anti-aging products to work harder, and last longer,” says Alissa Hsu Lynch, Group Product Director of AVEENO®. “The new AVEENO® POSITIVELY AGELESS™ Lifting & Firming line delivers clinically proven anti-aging results and requires little extra time out of a woman’s day. In fact, the POSITIVELY AGELESS™ Lifting & Firming Night Cream in the line features an ACTIVE NATURALS® formula comprised of the Natural Shiitake Complex and a special Wheat Protein to fight lines and wrinkles while lifting, firming and strengthening skin elasticity during sleep, leaving more time in the day for women to focus on what really matters.”
Anything to ease up on the routine and is proven to work sounds great in my book.
Has anyone tried anything from this Aveeno line yet?

Oh, I can’t wait to try this line. Wonder if they have an unscented version? I still think if possible you should have a retin a type product in your arsenal.

I purchased the Rejuvenating Serum and used the whole container. I’m 53 yrs old and always optimistic about new products; I WANT to believe they’ll work. This one did not. I saw no difference at all. I think I’d be considered a young 53 - I have good genes (thanks, Mom!), so it’s not like I was expecting a huge difference. Trouble is, I saw no difference. The best product I’ve used thus far is Boots No7 Firming Day Cream. It works. Unfortunately - Aveeno didn’t.

Sorry to hear that this did not work for you Bunny. I still need to try it.
Higuette - Let us know if you try this.
Jo - The smell is not harsh, but that is just from sniffing the product and not actually wearing it yet.

I have not tried the Aveeno, but ANY firming and lifting product I try (and I have tried a LOT) ends up breaking me out under my jawline! It seems the only thing i can put there is my Retin-A.
Anyone have a firming product that doesn’t break them out? I am not generally breakout prone!

Heather, it seems like all L’Oreal products break me out for some reason. I got a new sample of their “Skin Genesis” serum and tried it last night. So far - so good! I think every woman over 40 would love to have a skin care regimen that actually did what it said - maybe not miracles, but at least a visible difference.

WOW! This is quite the revelation.
Women must learn to put themselves first and the way to feel good about yourself as you age is really to spend a little bit of time on yourself.

You are right, Gisele. As a woman, I think it is only natural that we spend less and less time on ourselves and more on others. We need to stop. Just 15 minutes a day would add up to a whole lot of the year.

Heather - I would definitely go to the derm and see what is causing you to break out. I think they would be better able to help you pinpoint the ingredient or type of ingredients that is doing this to you.
