Aging Fabulous - This is when the fun starts!

Okay, I keep meaning to do this and then forget until it’s Friday. So, today I’m going to tackle it and see how well I do. Just how hard can it be to come up with 13 things to talk about??

1. My hair has been long for a LONG time. Am I getting in a rutt? Problem is, I have always had long hair and I’m awfully nervous about cutting it.

2. I haven’t had a cup of coffee in eons and right now, the empty pot downstairs is calling my name. Maybe it’s because it’s a miserable day outside? I wonder if a cup of hot mulled cider can stain your teeth??

3. I was reading up on plaque buildup in arteries and it says that I have to exercise for 30 minutes a day (yuk) and eat 5 servings of fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. Well, the fruit I can handle. I’m really going to have to work at eating more vegetables though.

4. Maybe I will go for a walk this afternoon. That seems like an easy way to get 30 minutes of exercise into my day. And that will be on top of 12 sets of stair climbing I have already done.

5. Hope is a very unruly emotion. Gloria Steinem. I don’t know about unruly? I think that it is a very necessary emotion. What is the point of going on if you don’t have hope?

6. Have to work on my stress levels. In my case that is what is contributing to the artery clogging. Who knew that stress could be such a pain in the neck? Yogi Berra has something to say on the matter… “Don’t worry about the things you can’t control, because if you can’t control them, they aren’t worth worrying about.” And just in case you worry about everything ( like me) it leads to high blood pressure and that leads to clogged arteries. Fun isn’t it!

7. I am slowing down my day though. At 10:30 I stop for my first break and I read for 20 minutes. Pure fluff! Work doesn’t come into my breaks!

8. I just sprayed my office with Cranberry Room and Linen Spray from the Body Shop. Smells delicious!

9. Okay, this is getting hard. I’m running out of things to talk about and that is certainly not me. So, I’m going to wind it up for now and as the day progresses, I will sneak back in and add a few more things to make me sound a bit more interesting!!

10. Okay, just got back from my break and I actually ate broccoli while reading. Who in their right mind eats broccoli while working their way through a novel??

11. And I might as well tell you the name of the novel while I’m at it. It’s called Lucy gets Her Life Back by Stef Ann Holm. I have read alot by this author and she keeps me coming back for more…

12. I just polished the staircase. Now is that sad or what?? But I like the smell of freshly polished wood. Yes, I do need a maid! But for now, that would be me! And I did burn a few calories while doing it! ;)
